The creation of Broken Mirror Tarot (BMT) was originally inspired by medieval European stained glass paintings. Characteristic of Gothic cathedrals of the Middle Ages, this form of art is known for its bold color statement, intricate pattern, and narrative depth.
Over the years, we've refined the details in the initial design, upgraded to higher-quality materials, and experimented with more productive printing techniques. We've finally come to the 5th edition this year, in which we continue to borrow from the elegance and mystique of this time-honored art tradition while "breaking the mirror of convention" by adding a modern touch to the overall design.
The box designs are realized using UV screen printing and gold stamping techniques. The air-cushioned card surface has dimples to reduce friction for better handling and smoother spread.
