The Goracle is a deck that explores the beauty found within death, mutilation, and gore. The illustrations are inspired by insecurities and weaknesses and spins them into positives and strengths.

Reading inversions is an important aspect of this deck. For most of the cards, the upright reading presents some harsh news or difficult scenarios that you may not want to hear. But when a card arrives inverted, the effect and representation are reinterpreted into a positive spin on that same scenario.

This transformative effect, focused on the darkness, is the backbone of this deck. Because as you explore the tougher questions, you may discover strengths within you did not know were there, or you may find opportunities for growth like seedlings sprouting from a crack in the sidewalk.

The imagery in the cards is inspired by scenes of death- some famous and some imagined. The black and white ink aesthetic is also inspired by the opposing interpretations that can be made from each card drawn. It is by acknowledging the existence of both that you can find your own grayness in the middle.
